I was asked recently to summarize my technology experience. It turned into this inventory:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/wonderlane/On a daily basis I use a MacBook Pro, an HP Probook, an iPhone 5, and an iPad 2 (retina display). I regularly use a Flipcamera, a Canon T3i SLR camera, a Canon – VIXIA HD camcorder, and a TASCAM handheld stereo recorder.

I am an advanced user of Microsoft Windows 7, Apple Macintosh OS X, and iOS 7 (iPhone/iPad). I would define “advanced” as one who uses the OS daily, uses several keyboard shortcuts, and knows troubleshooting techniques. Additionally, I have special administrative privileges by my current employer to install/uninstall software without department approval, which is necessary to test new tools.

I am a highly advanced user, comfortable in a training role, and use in my daily routine the following: Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Movie Maker, Google Drive (Docs), both TaskStream and Digication ePortfolio Management Systems, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, Apple iLife applications (iMovie, iDVD, iPhoto, iTunes, Garage Band), Photo Story 3 for Windows, Audacity 1.3.9, WordPress 3.4, and Blackboard 9.1. I am a certified SMART Interactive White Board trainer. I’ll include social media programs at this advanced level too. I have a presence in Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr.

I have served as director of photography on several creative and educational projects. I am comfortable setting up three-point lighting, backdrops, and capturing high quality sound. I love video editing. I use iMovie most, but have been trained in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, and Sony Vegas. In a few projects where advanced editing was necessary, I used chroma-key (green screen) video replacement in iMovie.

Additionally, I’ve used the Sakai 3 Learning Management System, Wiki Management Websites (e.g., PB Works and WikiSpaces), Articulate Presenter, Adobe Captivate 7, TechSmith Camtasia, and Screenr.com (screencasting) at an intermediate level.
