On Friday, I was fortunate enough to attend Duke’s CIT Showcase, with keynote speaker Jim Groom. His approach to blogging was something I’ve been thinking about for the past few months. It’s great to see that I wasn’t the only one and that he’s been thinking about it for a number of years.
In a nutshell, the blogs at http://umwblogs.org are breaking the blog mold in Higher Ed by giving all individuals blogs, then aggregating the blogs into classes, clubs, groups, events, etc.
Key WordPress plugins are “FeedWordPress” and “SiteWide Tags.“
I’m testing this out now for a client at Elon. Wish me luck!
